  • Vitamin E Acetate (Tocopheryl acetate)

  • Silsoft 860 (Peg-10 dimethicone)

  • TEA 99% (Triethanolamine)

Procedure

Add the water and Carbopol Aqua SF-1 to the main and mix until uniform. Slowly add in the alcohol. If added too rapidly, the polymer may fall out of solution. While it will eventually be neutralized, it may have an unusual appearance and will increase the mixing time required. Mix until uniform. Add the Zemea, aloe, vitamin E and Silsoft and mix until uniform Add the TEA 99% slowly under mixing to neutralize the Carbopol and adjust final pH to around 7.

Properties

pH—6.76; Viscosity—8000 cps LV#62 @ 3 rpm; Appearance—clear to water white gel.
